This is about cheap and free and safe houses, and we are not a "church" - we are old hippies with an answer to these fiends and fools.

OK people - I'm finally off the toilet.  Yeah OK, eat the rich IS a good idea, but they look...  greasy.

Maybe tomorrow - tonight, how about some grass, some home-made pie from Momma's oven, and let's mellow out and open up to some perspective and of course, music and Mister Natural....

Light up.

2018 - Every Day is a Train Wreck

Hey - America is a mess, but if we mellow out we'll learn soon that "crisis breeds opportunity"  Hey, in my day, every decent idea had a soundtrack, smelled like Willie Nelson and included dancing children, a dog who farts and a groovy music video.  Here you go...  .

Crisis?  Greed and homelessness.  Answer?  Do something and ignore the wealthy haters.  When?  Now.

The bottom 1/3 of American retirees live on under $1000 per month.  Many of you young people make less and work countless hours...  enough!

To quote Mister Natural, can't go wrong with one more song.  We call this one "bone spurs".

But first, light a california cigarette and if you have bandwidth, play some real protest music, about peace and truth and an America at war - with lies and greed here and everywhere.

A wise man, a very mellow and respected person, said this a few thousand years ago:  "If you build it, they will come."  Oh wait - wrong movie.  Hey, same concept.

Let's just go old-school groovy hippie on these rich fiends and fools who say they "lead"...  make love and have fun and build cheap houses for each other.

Or, we could live under bridges...  right Vice President Pence?

Hey, we are a group of people with a Plan, Man.

We do not fully embrace modern technology, but pick and choose.  Economy, thriftiness and common sense, not traditions, define how we build buildings, and how we choose to live.

We seek to feed hungry people, comfort those hurting, and live in communities, not alone.   We tend to open our doors and share our homes - a full house is a house of life.

Standalone Home
We believe in sharing expensive things, and not wasting money.

The two most offensive things in Modern America is the culture of the $10,000 funeral and the fact that an average house costs over $150,000.  That is ridiculous.

Houses must keep us warm and cool, they must provide shelter, they give us a place to live within our human communities.  Thus this - Our most important project - the reason we became a "licensed" church, The Shantytown project.

This name is in the honor of safe humble communities of tarpaper shacks and salvaged lumber that were a fixture in America before World War II.  Then came "zoning" and a commercial building industry and tax code that demands huge houses, on oversize lots.  This is nonsense.

Why let the wealthy make us live under bridges? - this is OUR country.   Grab some tools and a California Cigarette, make some music, make some love and build a few million cheap new fun places to live.

Hey - I have been there, and free love and peaceful social revolution will help California fire victims, teach us cool new skills, and we will live fat and happy while the rich suffer alone in their prisons of marble and gold.

They have NO idea how to live.  Can't we see that by now?

Old people, poor people, hell - just PEOPLE do not require a large home.  They require a warm, comfortable home somewhere that is fun to live.  It is impossible for a person making $1000 a month to be comfortable paying $500 plus a month on housing.

That is rent slavery - even if you have a mortgage, because good housing must first and always be affordable.

We believe we can supply new, comfortable, energy-efficient housing for older and poorer people.

The bottom 1/3 of American retirees live on under $1000 per month.

As Mennonite/Amish, we qualify to build modest, off-grid housing without the expenses of building "to code".  As long as the structures are not plumbed or have wire-wall electrical, they are considered sheds, and can be built efficiently and simply.

Under $4000 per home, Three room with loft.  Here's Doctor Jimmy Carter's idea of how to fix suffering and misery....  check out this fine little Asian neighborhood that is sensible and doesn't kill the planet.

So, we start with one little house.  Use bricks so they can't just tear it down.  Nice cheap grey concrete ones work fine.  Big, efficient, cheap, durable.  Can't call neighborhood code if we don't have 110 power or running water.... but it IS steps away from your door.

Electricity, yeah - but low voltage like a modern Willie Nelson tour bus, complete with that nice smell.

Start with one - and repeat.

16 units on 3 acres, Large well-equipped central "community center" with every modern Amenity....   but in each home, bottled water and chemical toilets for nights you just don't want to walk 20 feet to the nice warm modern bathroom.

Oh and wi-fi, nice fiber optic world-changing wi-fi, and a neighbor who smokes grass who fixes broken phones.  TVs on every wall, running on cheap low voltage power, and fans and phone chargers and mellow cheap modern lighting... for your greenhouse   :)  In your storage room.

That'll teach Marlboro to invest 2 billion in growing a weed.  It isn't called weed cuz it is hard to grow, Man.

Monthly payment under $350, with condo (land use) fees.  Hey, when you're done in 15 years, you own it.

Old-school president Jimmy Carter said it right "I can do more not being President".  He shows us the way, here are neighborhoods of thousands of liveable, cheap places to live.

Click here to see how cheap housing can shatter the endless cycle of poverty and corporate greed.
