Foreword:
While it might be easy to interpret this analysis, indeed our entire New Hope Creed, as "faith based" or traditionally theistic, we are not.
Our interactions with the infinite do contain all elements of traditional and modern interactions with God as expressed by people of traditional faiths, but we do not presume the projection of human elements such as physical form, gender, moralism, cultural exclusivity and other widely believed aspects of what is called "God" that simply and rather clearly, make no sense.
We believe that God and Reality are the same word, and we do have direct experience that it has a raw and thirsty intelligence, has evolved goals and objectives that contain moral components, and represents the sum total of both human knowledge and human experience.
Since many if not all humans have spectacular and inexplicable weaknesses, addictions, predilections to violence and self harm, we think that the infinite also is experiencing these grotesque and inexcusable qualities. This essay is an effort to express our knowledge of the current state of affairs regarding "God's" apparent struggle to force rapid and permanent change and eliminate the most cruel and negative expressions of the God-self.
Essay: Is God in Rehab?
We believe that all that exists, including the "forces of evil" represent aspects of the limitless rainbow of reality expressed as the word "God."
We accept that some of the expressions of God's interaction with mankind represent horrific challenges and/or compulsions, interpretations, motivations and yes, even direct commands.
We believe that over time, God's projection of interaction with the human race has mellowed, evolved, grown and changed.
We also are of the opinion that this specific period of time is represented in the Bible as a moment of truth - where the infinite deliberately suppresses and struggles to discard evil, greedy, prejudiced, selfish, harmful and cruel aspects of the infinite personalities expressed by man and in human personality and experience.
We worry that just as man is in a period of spectacular change, chaos, cultural hatred, addiction and fear, that this represents elements the infinite is also experiencing in full measure.
We work to diminish these negative qualities in our own lives, suppress and eliminate these qualities in our culture and in others, and bring a level of compassionate intelligence to bear against the weirdest and cruelest human behaviors.
It is our opinion that the infinite, like humankind, is struggling mightily to effect change and push these negative truths out of direct expression and harmful interaction with humans - but like humans, these habits and impulses are not dying easily, indeed are violently resistant to lasting change.
To our interpretation, this struggle of the infinite against chronic and horrific elements of its nature is the reason for the Biblical (and indeed in almost all major faiths) duality in "end times" doctrine.
Either God with the knowing and aware assistance of man can suppress the negative without self destruction, or it cannot.
One outcome? Immediate cessation of human life and experience, likely via global thermonuclear war.
The other? The "age of Aquarius", a period of approximately 10,000 years of peace and harmony, as man reaches into the heavens and works to minimize the period the earth is hostile to large oxygen breathing life.
The Georgia Guidestones are divine, divinely inspired, and represent our future regardless of which story comes true. The issue is whether our race gets to work in harmony to minimize the collapse of our ecology, or if nuclear armageddon wipes out all but a few thousand of us, and millions of years must pass before our species reaches this level of technology and human achievement.
