I have a dream.
I have a dream
about Puerto Rico.
I have a dream that a United States Navy Task Force docks in Miami, and is loaded with every utility truck and heavy-lift cargo helicopter it can carry.
I have a dream that the holds of that Aircraft Carrier are filled with reels of copper wire, transformers, US Army generators, switching equipment, utility poles and towers.
I have a dream that the 20 ships in that Carrier Fleet Task Force are loaded with technicians, utility linemen, rapid-deployment logistics specialists and senior officers hand-selected to lead this effort.
I have a dream that despite your brown skin and your Spanish language - I dream that your lives and the lives of your children are held as precious as the lives of every other American.
I HAVE A DREAM THAT OUR PRESIDENT WAKES UP TOMORROW AND SUDDENLY REALIZES ALL AMERICANS ARE EQUAL....
IT DAWNS ON HIM THAT HE HAS BEEN GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY OTHER MEN AND WOMEN CAN ONLY DREAM OF, AND THAT IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE, TO CHANGE THE COURSE OF THIS GREAT NATION FOR THE BETTER, TO FIGHT NOT FOR MONEY OR FOR POWER, BUT FOR PEACE AND PROSPERITY....
AND AS HE LOOKS IN THAT MIRROR, HE SUDDENLY UNDERSTANDS THAT HE CAN CHANGE HIS MIND, CHANGE HIS LIFE, AND DO THE JOB HE WAS PERHAPS BORN TO DO.
